The Bodecker Foundation sought a refreshed visual identity for their annual Skill Building Cohorts Anthology—one that would align with their newly established design system while also capturing this year’s thematic focus on transformation. The goal was twofold: to reflect the foundation’s evolving brand and to create a platform where student work could take center stage.
To achieve this, we created a refined interpretation of the foundation’s core visual language. This approach allowed the student contributions to shine, unencumbered by overly rigid design constraints.
Drawing from key elements of the updated design system—such as high-contrast layouts, bold use of photography, and a vibrant multi-color gradient—we developed a pared-back framework that balanced structure with creative freedom. The cover design embodies the anthology’s transformation theme through expressive typography. It serves as a visual metaphor for experimentation and creative evolution—qualities that echo both the student work and the mission of the Bodecker Foundation itself.
