It turns out NHL power forward Evander Kane enjoys crushed grapes as much as crushing bodychecks. When he decided to launch a wine brand called Dovetail, he wanted the design to speak to his passion for exquisite blends and high-end brands over his on-ice accomplishments.
We based the design around the Japanese-style dovetail joint, evoking precision, strength and harmony — themes that subtly reflect the graceful side of hockey.
Our full-wrap label design with die-cut accents discreetly displays strength through connection, whether a harmonious wine blend or linemates finding chemistry together, while elegantly honouring Kane’s number 91. Imagery through the website, social posts and event launch stayed consistent. Integrated. Balanced. Exact.
